11 maja 2016 r. Prezes URE udzielił koncesji na skraplanie gazu ziemnego i regazyfikację skroplonego gazu ziemnego w instalacjach skroplonego gazu ziemnego spółce Polskie LNG. Jednocześnie Prezes URE wyznaczył spółkę Polskie LNG S.A. operatorem systemu skraplania gazu ziemnego w Terminalu regazyfikacyjnym w Świnoujściu. Obie decyzje są ważne do 31 grudnia 2030 r.

On 27 April 2016 the West Pomeranian Governor signed a permission to use for the LNG Terminal in Świnoujście. After a commissioning phase and all necessary tests, a permission to use is crucial administrative decision enabling commercial exploitation of the Terminal.
27 kwietnia wojewoda zachodniopomorski podpisał pozwolenie na użytkowanie Terminala regazyfikacyjnego LNG w Świnoujściu. Po zakończeniu fazy rozruchowej oraz testów eksploatacyjnych pozwolenie na użytkowanie stanowi podstawową decyzję administracyjną umożliwiającą komercyjne wykorzystanie mocy regazyfikacyjej Instalacji.
