11 maja 2016 r. Prezes URE udzielił koncesji na skraplanie gazu ziemnego i regazyfikację skroplonego gazu ziemnego w instalacjach skroplonego gazu ziemnego spółce Polskie LNG. Jednocześnie Prezes URE wyznaczył spółkę Polskie LNG S.A. operatorem systemu skraplania gazu ziemnego w Terminalu regazyfikacyjnym w Świnoujściu. Obie decyzje są ważne do 31 grudnia 2030 r.
