Welcome from UW to postgraduate studies in energy transition and environmental protection

Our law firm’s energy and labour law experts also share their knowledge and experience in the educational field. Attorney Małgorzata Banasik was a lecturer during the first edition of the classes and invites you to the next one.
The study ‘Climate policy and the management of environmental protection and energy transition in the local dimension’ was completed by 50 people from all over Poland. They were subsidised by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
The managing partner and co-founder of the BWW law firm also took part in a special conference organised by the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw, which summarised the initiative.
The quality of the classes was evidenced by the fact that they were conducted by more than 40 experts, practitioners: lawyers, officials, ministers, managers including presidents of leading companies, representatives of the world of science.
Included in this group was Ms Banasik, who was also invited by the UW Faculty of Management to take part in a discussion at a gala conference that summarised the premiere edition of the postgraduate programme and announced the next one.
In the panel discussion, Ms Banasik said that the biggest challenge from the regulatory side is the need for a uniform energy policy. – In the current conditions, it must take into account the geopolitical conditions, the directions given in the EU institutions, as well as our Polish realities related to investments and the potential we have. Such an example is, for example, biogas plants and biomethane plants, which are needed locally. We have the conditions for this, but we are not yet taking advantage of these opportunities,’ she stressed.
Also taking part in the discussion were Magdalena Ruszniak from Veolia Term, Dr Konrad Wojnarowski, Undersecretary of State at the MFiPR, Paweł Augustyn, Vice-President of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, Bartosz Kublik, President of the Management Board of BOŚ and Andrzej Szałek, Ph.D., Advisor to the Management Board of Toyota Central Europe.
At the end of February this year, the university closed enrolment for the next edition of the class, which will again feature mec. Banasik, as well as a number of other energy and climate experts.
