Attorney Małgorzata Banasik elected vice-president of the SPPE board of directors.
The Society of Energy Law Lawyers brings together experts with many years of experience in the energy sector, who are partners, associates or heads of energy departments in the largest law firms in Poland.
SPPE is a platform for the exchange of information on the energy law system. It enables active participation in all kinds of thematic debates, as well as the development of some practice in the application of the relevant legislation. Its aim is to take care of the standards and security of the provision of legal services in the field of energy law.
– Energy is not only a question of the security of the state and the population, and of ensuring efficient economic processes. It is also, or perhaps above all, a concern for the environment, which is why the new duties related to the development of the Association are an honour and a great responsibility for me. The current energy transition is taking place in many dimensions, and regulations are at the heart of it, says Att. Małgorzata Banasik, co-founder and managing partner at BWW law firm.
It is crucial for the industry organisation to take care of the standards and security of legal services in the field of energy law. SPPE works to improve the quality of energy legislation by initiating and providing opinions on legal solutions in the field of energy law. It invites both the scientific community and representatives of the business community to cooperate.
In connection with the development of the association, its members elected a new, enlarged board. The chairman of the SPPE’s board of directors has been reappointed as attorney Filip Elżanowski. In addition to counsellor Banasik, counsellor Anna Kucińska was also elected to the board, as well as counsellors Maciej Wesołowski, Igor Muszyński and Piotr Ciołkowski.
